The Health Plus Care Show

Having exhibited and held a seminar in 2016, we were excited to get back to the Health Plus Care Show in 2017 with two brand new seminars and some great research to share with the audience. It was a jam packed two days and if you’ve not visited the show before then it’s well worth a visit, it’s quite possibly the largest care show in the UK and fills a huge space in the Excel in London.

The Highlights

You can see a snippet of the show and our highlights below:

Day 1 Seminar – Developing Values and Culture to become Outstanding

Rob’s talk on day 1 looked at how developing values and culture can help an organisation to become “outstanding”. He referenced work the Judgement Index has undertaken with care companies in the UK and invited Julia Clinton, CEO of Sonnet Care to share in her own words the difference the Judgement Index has made to the transformation at Sonnet.

He also spoke about the recent study of CQC Outstanding managers, which was undertaken as part of a project alongside Article Consulting Ltd and with the support of John Kennedy, independent consultant.

This groundbreaking research is the largest study of Outstanding managers conducted in the UK and the Judgement Index findings were quite remarkable. You can download the full report now from the Article Consulting Ltd website, and see the full seminar from Rob below:

Day 2 – Build a Dream Team with these 5 Strategies

Sophie took strategies used by care companies to help build a dream team, and shared those in her seminar on day 2. Drawing on experience shared by Judgement Index clients and also her own experience working in growing businesses, all of the strategies featured were either free or very low cost.

Cramming in as many tips and tricks as possible, the talk covered culture, wellbeing, leadership, selection, onboarding plans and even a bonus strategy on a fresh take on finding new staff. She challenged the audience to spend an hour a day the following week to focus on each strategy, with the offer of 5 emails over 5 days to remind them. You can still join the challenge today by clicking this link, and see the full seminar below:

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this fast-paced event, seeing our clients and plenty of new faces, and look forward to catching up with people over the next few weeks. For more information about Health Plus Care please visit their website.
